This month has completely been a throw back month to everything I used to listen to in a life-once-lived. I have this song particularly in mind this morning because I finally have a break in my schedule from obligation & responsibility after my evening class today to finally swing by to see Daisy’s new apartment & which will hopefully lead to finding something resourceful to do afterwards.. I have been so ridiculously busy lately with juggling between work, school & my studio practice (with much energy channeled into trying to orchestrate & create a cohesive new body of work for my senior thesis which is nearing ever so rapidly -the thought is dizzying). I am not complaining though, I really enjoy reverting back to the priorities I set for myself upon moving to Northern California.
Within this fleeting month of September, I have drastically cut back on smoking (which I am proud to say), I don’t have the tme to be hung over anymore either -so drinking (because this also perpetuates the other tenfold) and being depleted of a social life. The last one I am fine with because I’ve always had a ‘go-hard or go-home’ way of thinking about the relationship I have to my Summers (and all other non-sequitor breaks included..) because I am essentially a big home body if I had to decide.

I don’t feel satisfied with the amount of work I got done today, mostly because I feel stumped on this tessellation screen printing design that I would rather not do.. I’m not really a fan of making repeating patterns. Although I did have fun going on a non-sequitur and making a big mauvish-black dyebath today. These are some of the things I’m really happy aren’t the original color anymore.
1) My old Raging Waters uniform which used to be a cerulean blue.
2) My 2XXL thrifted women’s knit jacket that was originally techni-pastel colors.
